Describe one embedded/firmware product you took to field deployment. Your specific role, the MCU/SoC, the comms interface, roughly how many units ran in the field, and one bug that only showed up in the field, and how you found it. *
Have you deployed an ML model onto a microcontroller-class or edge device, not a GPU server? Name the model, the target, the framework (TFLite Micro, ONNX Runtime, etc.), and which constraint hurt most: flash/RAM, latency, or power. If you haven't, say so and describe how you'd approach it.
What's your experience writing firmware for cellular comms in poor-coverage conditions (SIM7600G-H or equivalent)? Describe one connectivity or power-draw problem and how you solved it in software, e.g. reconnection logic, power-state management, buffering during dropout.
Imagine an unattended sensor device deployed in the field that runs local detection/monitoring and must relay data upstream over a link that is bandwidth-constrained and sometimes goes down, on a power budget that is intermittent or limited. In firmware, what do you compute and decide locally versus send upstream, and how does the device degrade gracefully when bandwidth or power drops?
